Charleston's 17th Airlift Squadron returns

(Charleston-AP) September 5, 2006 - Members of Charleston's 17th Airlift Squadron have returned from a three-month deployment to Iran, Afghanistan and Lebanon.

A crowd of cheering relatives met the C-17 squadron Sunday.

This was the first time all of the squadron's 130 members had been deployed. This mission was much longer than the typical two weeks they spend away from family.
