Injured Iraq vet among honored veterans

CINCINNATI -- Army Pfc. Marissa Strock, a Troy native who was badly wounded during service in Iraq, will be one of four wounded Iraq veterans honored on Sunday at the USO Riverfest Fireworks Gala and fundraiser.

Benefiting the USO of Metropolitan Washington (USO-Metro), the event honors all U.S. military personnel and pays tribute to select service men and women recently wounded in the line of duty. It is also one of the largest fundraisers for the USO and programs for U.S. military personnel and their families.
