Report: Body found today may be flown to U.S. for identification -- 'Right now, we're continuing our search for three missing soldiers'
Above: Joseph Anzack, Byron Fouty and Alex Jimenez were listed as 'Duty Status: Whereabouts Unknown' following the May 12th attack. BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A corpse found floating in the Euphrates River south of Baghdad on Wednesday may have to be shipped to the United States to determine if it is the body of one of three missing U.S. soldiers, according to a U.S. military official...
U.S. military spokesman Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said the military is not going to make conjectures about the soldiers' fate and is proceeding cautiously.
"Right now, we're continuing our search for three missing soldiers," he said.
He said that if the body turns out to be one of the missing soldiers, family members would be notified before any public announcement.
