Report: Two Iraqis confess, give details of Saturday attack

Earlier General Petraeus, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq said in an interview that he believes he knows who abducted the three soldiers missing since a May 12 attack, and that as of Friday morning he believed at least two of them were still alive.

An Iraqi army intelligence officer says two men have confessed to taking part in last weekend's attack on U.S. soldiers south of Baghdad.

Four U.S. soldiers and an Iraqi were killed in the attack. Three soldiers were kidnapped.

The Iraqi official says the two captives say 13 men took part in the assault. He says they split into two groups afterward, with the ringleader taking the kidnapped soldiers with his band of men. The two say they don't know where the soldiers were taken.
