Tulsa police officer killed in Iraq (Jared Shoemaker)

TULSA, Okla. -- A Tulsa police officer who is serving in Iraq with the U.S. marines has been killed.

Jared Shoemaker, 29, had been serving in Iraq for about six months. He has been with the Tulsa Police Department since January 2005.

Details of Shoemaker's death -- including where and when he was killed -- haven't been released by the Department of Defense.
