Nebraska soldier killed over weekend (Germaine Debro)

OMAHA — An Omaha National Guardsman died in Iraq over the weekend, according to his family.

Germaine Debro, 33, was killed in a roadside bombing.

Debro served with the 1st Squadron, 167th Cavalry. He died over the weekend when an insurgent bomb hit his Humvee near Tikrit.
