Reece Moreno laid to rest

Mourners gathered Saturday at the Prescott United Methodist Church on Gurley Street to lay to rest Reece Moreno, 19, from Prescott Valley. Burial was in Willow Creek Cemetery.

Moreno died Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, in Balad, Iraq, from non-combat-related injuries. He was part of the 92nd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division.

Moreno graduated early from Yavapai County High School so he could enlist in the Army one week after his 18th birthday. He had attended Bradshaw Mountain schools.
