1300 Soldiers Return to Fort Campbell
Plane loads of Fort Campbell soldiers continue to bring members of the 101st Airborne back to Kentucky from Iraq.
Today, Sept. 9, 2006, more than 600 soldiers of the Second and Third Brigade Combat teams, 159th Combat Aviation Brigade and 101st Combat Aviation Brigade returned to Fort Campbell. Spokeswoman Cathy Gramling said 700 returned Thursday Sept. 7, 2006, bringing the total to more than 1,200 soldiers that have return from operation Iraqi freedom.
