Byron Fouty's dad: 'He's my hero'
LAKE ORION - Gordy Dibler Jr. says he looks up to his stepson. In fact, "he's my hero," Dibler said.
The 19-year-old he helped raise, U.S. Army Pvt. Byron Fouty, is now reported missing in Iraq.
"We have a warrior from our local community of Lake Orion and Oxford that needs our hopes, our thoughts and our prayers for a safe return," said Dibler as television cameras crowded around him during a news conference Thursday evening at the Orion Veterans Memorial.
"I know he's got us in his heart and has a nephew he wants to meet," he said.
