County Commissioner To Hold Office While In Iraq
(AP) Red Wing, Minn. Goodhue County, Minn., Commissioner Ron Allen ships out next week for military duty in Iraq.
But he won't be stepping down from office. Allen will continue to take part in County Board meetings by using a Web-based interactive television hookup.
Allen, 51, is a colonel in the Army Reserve, where he has served for 29 years. Allen previously served in Afghanistan in 2003 and 2004.
