Marine Comandant Conway: Enforce PT, appearance standards

Commanders must crack down on the physical fitness and personal appearance of their Marines, according to a Corps-wide message released Tuesday.

“All commanders are directed to place necessary emphasis on the fundamental Marine Corps traits of personal appearance, conformance to standards and physical fitness” because the appearance of Marines “is an outward manifestation of our ethos,” according to MarAdmin 259/07.
