BAGHDAD - A suicide car bomber killed five people and wounded 10 near a queue outside a bakery in the mainly Shi'ite district of Karrada, police sources said.
DIYALA PROVINCE - Three U.S. soldiers were killed and four wounded in an explosion at a building in Diyala province, east of Baghdad, the U.S. military said. A statement said the explosion took place when the soldiers were searching the building for weapons on Friday.
MUSSAYAB - Gunmen killed three members of a Shi'ite family when they stormed a house in the town of Mussayab, 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, police said. Another two family members were wounded.
* BAGHDAD - A car bomb killed three civilians and wounded five when it exploded on a road in eastern Baghdad, police said.
TAL AFAR - A suicide car bomber killed one Iraqi soldier and wounded five people, including three civilians, as it targeted an army checkpoint in the northern Iraqi town of Tal Afar, police said.
MUSSAYAB - A roadside bomb killed one civilian in the town of Mussayab, police said.
ISKANDARIYA - A mortar shell wounded two civilians in the town of Iskandariya, police sources said.

DOUR - A suicide truck bomber attacked a police station in the town of Dour near Tikrit, 175 km (105 miles) miles north of Baghdad, police said. A police major at the scene said 15 had been killed, but the deputy provincial governor said only five had died. Police at a hospital in Tikrit put the death toll at nine.
BAGHDAD - A total of 30 bodies were found in different parts of Baghdad on Saturday, police said.
MOSUL - Gunmen shot dead eight border guard recruits on Saturday when they ambushed their vehicle northwest of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, and raked it with machinegun fire, police said.

BUHRIZ - Clashes erupted between U.S. and Iraqi forces and gunmen on Saturday, killing five people and wounding 25 others, including three women, in the town of Buhriz, 60 km (35 miles) northeast of Baghdad, a hospital source said.
MOSUL - Police found the bodies of five people, three policemen and two civilians, in different parts of Mosul, police said.
BAGHDAD - Gunmen killed Hatam Abdul-Hussein, a colonel in Kerbala police headquarters, and wounded his son along with an aide on Saturday in the western Mansour district of Baghdad, police said.
