Branden C. Cummings dies of injuries from I.E.D.
A Titusville man serving in Baqubah, Iraq, became the 10th soldier from Brevard County or with close family ties here to die in Operation Iraqi Freedom, the Department of Defense reported just after 9 p.m. Friday.
Pfc. Branden C. Cummings, 20, was killed Wednesday when an improvised explosive devise exploded hear his vehicle during combat, the DOD said in a four-line statement.
Cummings was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division out of Fort Hood, Texas.
