Micah S. Gifford dies of injuries from I.E.D.
Searcy - A former Harding football player has been killed while serving in Iraq.
University officials say Micah Gifford died after an explosive device detonated near his unit in Baghdad on Thursday. He was 27.
Gifford was in the 25th Infantry Division out of Fort Richardson, Alaska.
Gifford played 31 games as a defensive lineman and linebacker for the Bisons from 1998 to 2002. Gifford was from Redding, California.
