Jay R. Gauthreaux dies of injuries from I.E.D.

(CBS 42) FORT HOOD Another Fort Hood soldier has died after a roadside bomb blew up near his vehicle in Iraq.

Sgt. Jay Ryan Gauthreaux, 26, of Thibodeaux, La., died Dec 4, in Balad, Iraq.

Gauthreaux joined the military in 1998 and was deployed to Iraq in October 2006.

He was a signal system support specialist in the 3rd Heavy brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.
