Misael Martinez killed by I.E.D.
Staff Sgt. Misael Martinez, 24, was killed over the weekend when a roadside bomb exploded.
"He was the kind of person to never give up. Never give up," said Martinez's father, Juan Antonio Martinez.
Misael Martinez grew up in Orange County and joined the U.S. Army shortly after graduating from high school. This was his third tour in Iraq.
"To me, it was a great mistake to send my son again when he was already there twice," Juan Martinez said. "Now they want to send my other son over there. I don't want it."
The father spoke out against the war in Iraq.
"We don't supposed to be there," Juan Martinez said. "Everybody knows that. Everybody knows this is one of the wrongest, wrongest wars."
