Soldier Dad Returns From Iraq Early to Meet Son For the First Time

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The soldier who arrived home Saturday was detonating explosives in Iraq just a few days ago. Now he'll get to see his infant son, who's recovering from emergency surgery, for the very first time.

Sergeant Devin Cooper had to watch the birth of his first child from Iraq on a small screen.

"I was barely showing when he left, and now he's gonna come home to a baby," said Sgt. Cooper's wife, Crystal.

It's the first time he's seen Crystal in nearly 6 months. And he's never even met his one month old son Aiden.
