Family copes as son returns, father leaves for Iraq
The plane carrying the 23-year-old and other members of the 101st Airborne Division touched down in Fort Cambpell, Ky., concluding his second tour in Iraq since 2003 and bringing relief to his mother, Lynn Edwards.
"He’s home for good," Lynn said by phone from Fort Campbell on Saturday. "It’s a huge relief."
But the relief isn’t total. Her husband, Chief Warrant Officer Robert C. Edwards, began a year-long tour seeking out bombers around Balad, Iraq, in July.
