27 'convicts' are hanged in Iraq

BAGHDAD: Iraqi authorities hanged 27 convicted "terrorists" yesterday, the interior ministry announced.

Ministry spokesman Abdul Karim Khalaf said they were convicted for attacks on Iraqi civilians and sentenced to death, in an execution order signed by an Iraqi vice president.
