NEAR SAMARRA - A suicide car bomber killed 10 civilians and wounded eight people, including three policemen, in an attack on a police station near the city of Samarra, 100 km (62 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
ANBAR PROVINCE - A U.S. Marine died in combat operations in Anbar province, the U.S. military said.
BAIJI - A U.S. soldier died from wounds suffered in combat operations on Friday near Baiji, 180 km (110 miles) north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.
HAWIJA - A roadside bomb killed one policeman and wounded two in Hawija, 70 km (43 miles) southwest of Kirkuk, police said.
BAGHDAD - Four explosions occurred near the Polish embassy in central Baghdad, a Polish diplomat said. He said there were no injuries or serious damage at the embassy. Police said a car bomb near the embassy killed two people and wounded five.
