Jonathan D. Winterbottom dies of 'wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle'
Cpl. Jonathan D. Winterbottom, 21, of Falls Church in Northern Virginia was one of two soldiers who died in Iraq last week when an improvised device detonated near their vehicle, the Department of Defense said.
Also killed was Cpl. Victor H. Toledo Pulido, 22, of Hanford, Calif.
They died Wednesday in Al Nahrawan. They were assigned to 3d Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized), based in Fort Benning, Ga.
