Christopher E. Murphy dies 'of wounds suffered when his patrol was attacked by enemy forces using automatic fire and explosives'

A 21-year-old soldier from Campbell County is among the latest casualties in Iraq.

Private First Class Christopher Edward Murphy was killed in an ambush Saturday. Three other members of his unit are still missing.

Murphy was a 2003 graduate of William Campbell High School. Finch & Finch Funeral Service says he'd been in the army about two years and was assigned to the Tenth Mountain Division.
