63 Humvees to get all-in-one radar system

Under a contract valued at more than $250 million, the Corps will equip 63 Humvees with a new all-in-one radar system that replaces five separate radar systems currently in use, according to a Navy Department release...

The new Humvee radar system will allow Marines on the ground to support air traffic control missions, as well as perform short-range air defense and surveillance, counter-fire targeting missions, and friend or foe identification. It will also allow Marines to project decoy radar blips through the system’s “electronic counter-countermeasures capabilities,” according to the release.
