BAGHDAD - A suicide car bomber targeting a truck carrying Shi'ite pilgrims killed 19 people and wounded 25 in Baghdad's central Karrada district, police said. A witness said the car bomb had been parked on the street.

KIRKUK - The final death toll from the two Katyusha rockets that hit a bus station in a Kurdish area of the northern city of Kirkuk on Saturday is three dead and 55 wounded, including women and children, police and hospital sources said.

BAGHDAD - A suicide bomber in a minibus killed 10 people and wounded eight between Talbiya Bridge and Mustansiriya Square, in an area of northeastern Baghdad near the Shi'ite militia stronghold of Sadr City, a police source said.

RAMADI - Iraqi army killed three insurgents and arrested five suspected insurgents in Ramadi, 110 km (70 miles) west of Baghdad, the Defence Ministry said.

BAGHDAD - The Iraqi army arrested 53 suspected insurgents in Baghdad, the Defence Ministry said.

BAGHDAD - A U.S. drone for air surveillance went down in Ur district in northeastern Baghdad, police said. The U.S. military confirmed that a drone was recovered but it was intact.

BAGHDAD - U.S.-led forces captured 15 suspected insurgents in raids around Iraq targeting al Qaeda and militants working with foreign fighters, the U.S. military said.

MUSSAYAB - A roadside bomb killed three policemen and wounded seven others while they were trying to dismantle it in the main road in the town of Mussayab, police said.

MOSUL - A blast in the reception lobby of the Iraqi Islamic Party headquarters in the northern city of Mosul killed three guards and wounded two. The Islamic Party is the largest party of the Accordance Front, the biggest Sunni group in parliament. An unidentified body, believed to be of a suicide bomber, was found at the scene.

DAQUQ - Police found the bullet-riddled bodies of two people, bearing signs of torture, in the town of Daquq, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

MUSSAYAB - Gunmen wearing army uniforms killed two men in a drive-by shooting in the town of Mussayab, 60 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.
