Megan McClung laid to rest
HONOLULU -- A Hawaii-born Marine who was recently killed in Iraq was laid to rest on Tuesday with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
Maj. Megan McClung, 34, was a public affairs officer for the Marines 1st Brigade Combat Team in Iraq.
McClung was born in Hawaii and grew up in Southern California. She was killed on Dec. 6 when a roadside bomb exploded while she escorted reporters around Ramadi in a convoy of Humvees.
McClung is the highest-ranking female Marine officer to die in Iraq.
