Iraq, Iran to exchange intelligence

U.S.-supplied 'Seeker' aircraft are a major part of Iraq's surveillance effort

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- Iran and Iraq have agreed to conduct an intelligence exchange.

Officials said the two countries have established a panel meant to launch an intelligence exchange. They said the group would also explore security cooperation.

"The two sides agreed to form a working group to lay down suitable mechanisms to implement the agreement to strengthen security and intelligence cooperation," the Iraqi Cabinet said in a statement on Oct. 15.
