David Ramsey dies from injuries after returning from Iraq

A soldier from Tacoma, Wash. died in his home state earlier this month, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Spc. David J. Ramsey, 27, was medically evacuated from Iraq on Aug. 24 and died from a non-combat related incident on Sept. 7 in Spanaway, Wash., according to the DOD.

Ramsey was assigned to the 47th Combat Support Hospital, 62nd Medical Brigade in Fort Lewis, Wash.

This incident is under investigation.
